BRETT SCHRIER is an accomplished composer, music director, and vocal coach in New York City. After a childhood spent performing, Brett attended The Boston Conservatory, where he pioneered an individualized degree in Music Direction for Musical Theatre. Since graduation, he has become a driving force in music and theatre venues across the world.

Brett's musical directing/conducting credits include: 42nd Street (National Tour), Hairspray (National Tour), Les Miserables, Cats (Royal Caribbean), I Love You…You're Perfect…Now Change, Miss Saigon, The Will Rogers Follies, Fiddler On The Roof, Beauty And The Beast, and A Chorus Line. His arrangements are frequently heard in concerts, cabarets and recordings across the world, and his work is continually performed at distinguished New York City venues: Ars Nova, Joe's Pub, The Duplex, and The Knitting Factory. Brett served as Music Director for Broadway In South Africa, Broadway Under The Stars in Sonoma, and the National Tour of Scooby-Doo Live!, produced by Warner Bros/Life Like Touring. He also travels the world recruiting and casting vocalists for Royal Caribbean Productions.

Named one of New York's "most talented writers," Brett has written and developed three full-length musicals. His first, Take Two! The Musical! earned rave reviews during a World Premiere Production at Northern Stage. He also composed the score for Mr. Popper's Penguins, which is licensed by Plays For Young Audiences, and produced by multiple companies around the world. His newest project, Time Between Us, won Critic's Pick Award in the New York Musical Theatre Festival, premiered regionally at Serenbe Playhouse, and is currently in development for an Off-Broadway run. Brett wrote the music, book, & lyrics for Time Between Us, which is being called 'one of the most thought-provoking, cutting edge pieces of musical theatre this decade.'

A faculty member at Marymount Manhattan College, Brett privately vocal coaches some of Broadway's most gifted stars. He is also Founding Director of Broadway Playground, a nationwide program that connects aspiring performers with leaders in the industry - while providing a creative place to learn and explore.
